Qingran Li

Energy and Environmental Economics

Welcome

I got my Ph.D. in Environmental Policy (Economics), Duke University. I am also an Energy Data Analytics PhD Fellow and Energy Fellow in the Duke University Energy Initiative. Starting in fall 2021, I will join Clarkson University as Assistant Professor in Environmental Economics and Sustainability.

Being a researcher in the interdisciplinary field of environmental economics, I find it important to closely tie my research to policy-related questions concerning a variety of stakeholders. The need to communicate scientific findings to regulators and the general audience constantly reminds me to explore and practice analytical tools that can deliver robust results. The challenge of policy-making in a world characterized by increasing uncertainties and environmental risks motivates my research about integrating climate change dynamics, human behavioral responses, and technology diffusion into long-run policy design.
